    Dr Kai Lim is an Associate Professor of Information Systems at City University of Hong Kong. He is currently serving on the Editorial Boards of Management Information Systems Quarterly (MISQ), the top journal of IS field and the Journal of the Association for Information Systems (JAIS), a leading IS Journal.

    Prior to joining City University, he was on the faculty of the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University. He also taught at the University of Hawaii for three years.

    He received his PhD from the University of British Columbia, Canada, one of the top five information systems programmes, in terms of research productivity, in North America. He holds a BA degree in mathematics and economics from the University of Minnesota and an MA degree in management from the University of Nebraska.

    At City University, he has also been consistently rated as one of the best teachers in EMBA programme. He won the university-wide 2002/2003 Teaching Excellence Award. While teaching at the University of Hawaii, he received the College of Business Administration Teaching Excellence Award. He was also one of the finalists for the teaching excellence award at Case Western Reserve University.

    Dr Lim's research has centred on the behavioural and managerial aspects of information systems. Currently, he is studying e-commerce-related adoption issues. His other research interests include human-computer interactions, computer learning, and cross-cultural issues related to information system management.

    Dr Lim's work has appeared in two of the most prestigious journals in the information systems area: Management Information Systems Quarterly and Information Systems Research.
